The Society for the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (SICP) has long served as a dynamic hub for professional development and community building within ICP. For years, our Friday night lecture series and weekend retreats have provided engaging forums, bringing individuals together for learning, networking, and camaraderie. After the challenges during the pandemic, we recently hosted a Saturday weekend retreat, featuring esteemed alumni and members of our ICP community, that proved to be a tremendous success. This event underscored our community's strong desire for connection with each other and with our institute.
In light of this renewed momentum, we are excited to envision a revitalized SICP – now as ICP's alumni association. Our aim is to unite graduates from all of our training programs through compelling, relevant, and educational programming. We envision a platform for the sharing of ideas, collaboration, and community building events that resonate with the diverse interests and aspirations of our alumni.
We recognize that many of our alumni have expressed interest in staying connected to ICP, and we believe a reimagined alumni association will serve as the perfect avenue. We are looking for volunteers to participate on a committee and to chair SICP. If you share our enthusiasm and would like to contribute to this exciting venture, please reach out to Maeve Hanley at
SICP@icpnyc.org. Your ideas and engagement will play a crucial role in fostering a vibrant and enduring connection within the ICP community.
