PSYCHOTHERAPY CENTER FOR GENDER & SEXUALITY

(PCGS)

PCGS (formerly known as GLAP) provides affirmative psychotherapy treatment services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals. Our therapists and intake staff are sensitive to the various issues that permeate our community due to the historical social stigmas that often complicate life.

PCGS’s Clinical Certificate Program

Founded in 1993, PCGS’s (formerly GLAP) LGBTQ Clinical Certificate Program was the first psychodynamic training program of its kind. With the launch of our new training program (expected for spring 2024), we plan to provide therapists a new training experience while still providing the high caliber of training that you have come to expect from PCGS.

2023-2024 Workshops & Seminars

All LGBTQ training modules and workshops are open to clinicians seeking to expand their practical knowledge of working with this specialized population. Workshops, seminars, and professional development offerings will include but are not limited to the following:

  • LGBTQ Experience; Then and Now
  • Transference/countertransference with LGBTQ Patients
  • In Depth Clinical Work with Transgender Patients
  • Essential Psychoanalytic Theory
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Workshop
